The LDS Church in Apostasy?
The accepted historical narrative of the LDS Church doesn't line up with the actual history. The modern church is drastically different from the one founded by Joseph Smith almost 200 years ago. That shouldn’t necessarily be seen as a good thing or as evidence of progress and an “ongoing restoration.” It is evidence of apostasy. The falling away from the truth. I believe that Christ is mindful of the LDS Church despite it being under condemnation and rejection. Because that’s the more accurate history of the restored church, that of condemnation and chastening rather than solely that of blessings and divine favor. There has not been an unbroken line of succession of prophets, seers and revelators up to our current day. That started and ended with Joseph. He was the last legitimate mouthpiece.
